Feature Production

The NZFC is committed to allocating the major part of its budget to feature film production financing to ensure the ongoing production of quality New Zealand films that appeal to diverse cinema audiences in New Zealand and overseas. Applications for production financing are considered by the Board of the NZFC with advice from senior staff and independent assessment. Decisions are made at the Board's regular meetings held six times a year.

Board meetings have been scheduled for the following dates in 2010. Please note that complete production funding applications including distribution agreements must be submitted by the application deadline five weeks prior the meeting.

Tuesday Feb 9 (Auckland) (Submission Deadline - Tuesday 5 January)
Tuesday 20 April (Submission Deadline - Tuesday 16 March)
Tuesday 22 June (Submission Deadline - Tuesday 18 May)
Tuesday 10 August (Submission Deadline - Tuesday 6 July)
Tuesday 12 October (Submission Deadline - Tuesday 7 September)
Tuesday 7 December (Submission Deadline - Tuesday 2 November)

New Zealand producers with experience in film production are eligible to apply.
