"Henry lives a detatched, voyeuristic lifestyle - interpreting reality via her video camera. Josephine, a reporter, unknowingly becomes an object of Henry's study. The tables, however, are turned, and Henry is made to re-evaluate herself in relation to others.

Henry Island  as a character and as a film is a portrait of the nineties - an age when technology, and in this case video, has become an intermediary and yet an immediate interpretation, of reality. An age when the glossy image, or sensational report, is more important than the truth. As a filmmaker, the distortions and potential possibilities of the medium are of interest to me, and are a prime concern of this work."
