We are pleased to introduce our new Development Executive Sean Carley.
Sean has a varied background that spans script development, screenwriting and production for both film and television.
Sean is a New Zealand/Canadian who completed his Master of Fine Arts at Elam School of Fine Arts, and graduated from the renowned Canadian Film Centre in Toronto. Prior to completing his Masters degree he worked in Canada as an entertainment lawyer and feature script development executive before going on to write for a range of film and TV projects broadcast internationally. His credits include writing multiple episodes of the GLAAD Award winning series "MTV's Undressed," the hit teen drama "Degrassi the Next Generation," and the surreal sci-fi series "Charlie Jade," filmed entirely in South Africa.
Sean has also written and directed numerous shorts, which have screened at such festivals as the acclaimed Rhode Island International Film Festival, the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, the Toronto International Film Festival Talent Lab and the Toronto Lab Cab Festival.
His recent short SHORE, shot on location in Mexico with local actors, was the only New Zealand-made short film to screen as part of the 2011 Out Takes Film Festival in Auckland and Wellington. Sean's latest film, SHACKLES AND SWIVELS is a six-minute abstract narrative and screened at the New Zealand Film Archive as part of the Wellington Undergound Film Festival in March 2013.
We'll be helping arrange face-to-face introductions for Sean in the weeks ahead.
