The Old Man, The Budgie, & The Flea is the touching tale of 80-year-old Perry Smyth, who near the end of his life, is forced to confront his demons as his dreams slowly turn into regrets. He's been building a plane since the second world war, and it's been 99% finished for the last 30 years, but he's never got around to flying it. 

But when his son threatens to put him in a retirement home, Perry enlists the help of his pet budgie Freddie and they plan their escape. When the day finally arrives; Perry discovers that freeing Freddie is one thing...freeing himself is quite another...
